Botosani

Place description

Located in north-eastern Romania, Botosani is characterized by a cultural diversity influenced especially by the four famous people who originated from this region: Mihai Eminescu (born in Botosani, 1850-1889), George Enescu (born in Liveni, 1881 - 1955), Nicolae Iorga (born in Botosani, 1871-1940) and Stefan Luchian (born in Stefanesti, 1868-1916). "The City of Ladies", as it is called Botosani, gave to the Romanian culture the most numerous personalities, becoming in this way a brand of the national culture.

Tourist attractions in the town and surrounding areas:

The “Mihai Eminescu” Park of Botosani, formerly the Varnav gardens, created in 1869, preserves several trees that were contemporary with Mihai Eminescu, who arrived here several times, especially in the latter part of his life.

The “Nicolae Iorga" Memorial Home of Botosani, created in one of the houses where the great historian Nicolae Iorga was born and raised.

The Botosani County Museum - Historical monument, built in 1913. It was designed initially as the prefecture of the county of Botosani, but since 1977 operates as a museum of history, being a “mirror" of the history of the Botosani County.

Experiences of patients

I came to the Czech Republic with my daughter and underwent a total of 6 treatments in Uherský Brod. I was pleasantly surprised from the start. I was given some refreshments and the chair was very comfortable. The doctor spoke with every patient during his shift. I basically didn’t have any problem with the language because I had a translator with me and the doctor spoke good English.
